The World Vision International Nepal Innovation Lab (NLab), is a platform to inspire and support a step-change in humanitarian and development action – providing access to the enabling tools, knowledge, connections, capital and markets to turn good ideas into action, and fostering inclusive and innovative solutions for effective humanitarian action in Nepal.
The NLab was established in 2015 and has been building a growing ecosystem of both local and international collaborators, and has initiated multiple prototyping projects which have shown promising results.Sikka is one of the projects that was conceived at the NLab in early 2017.
A digital token transfer platform, Sikka is a last mile cash/commodity distribution platform that doubles as a monitoring and evaluation tool for aid organizations carrying out cash programs.
Sikka has been used in both the Earthquake and Flood Responses since 2018 to facilitate Cash and Voucher Programs across 6 districts in Nepal.
